Charissa Thompson has joked that she's available for new job opportunities as her time with FOX remains uncertain.
The experienced broadcaster quipped about her future in a recent discussion with Tampa Bay Buccaneers' lineman Tristan Wirfs at the She is Football Summit alongside Erin Andrews. Thompson is signed up with Amazon Prime Video for Thursday Night Football, but her time as part of the FOX NFL team ended after Super Bowl LIX.
The 42-year-old made a witty remark about her employment status, saying she was "available" after Wirfs complimented her interview technique. Thompson may already have her Amazon gig lined up, but Andrews' future with FOX is also in the balance after her deal expired.
The dynamic duo, who co-host the 'Calm Down' podcast, graced our screens for FOX's NFL lineup in the 2024 season, including Super Bowl LIX. Amidst the uncertain situation, Andrews, 46, shared how she has embraced her downtime away from the broadcasting world by cherishing moments spent with her kid.
"Yes, I can take a break, but I think anyone who knows me knows that my breaks are not your typical break," she said at the Summit. “He’s [her son] like a mini version of [Curb Your Enthusiasm star] Larry David walking around the entire store.
"I really enjoy doing these fun little things that I don’t get to experience during the season. Honestly, it's been some really nice time reintroducing myself to my kid, getting to go to these classes with him. I took him to Target the other day and was laughing."

Despite speculation about her future, Andrews could still return to reporting on NFL games by 2025. She recently participated in the 'Skate', an NHL event hosted by the LA Kings, and has been keeping busy with her 'Calm Down' podcast.
However, she has previously hinted at the possibility of leaving FOX after joining in 2012. "I think my goal is always kind of the same as last year," Andrews said.
"Enjoy it because it's not going to last forever, especially when your contract is up – and mine is."
With her contract nearing its end, Andrews expressed a desire to stay with FOX, especially dreaming of covering a Vegas Super Bowl for the network.
"I really hope I'm still employed by FOX when FOX gets a Vegas Super Bowl," she mentioned nostalgically, thinking back on her fun experience presenting in Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII.

Thompson, who has been part of the FOX Sports team since rejoining the network in 2013, only publicly discussed her departure during an episode of the 'Calm Down' podcast. "I just have to say one thing – and this is also what I am going on and on about FOX, and I swear, I mean it's not just because my contract's up.
"I love FOX so much because my brother and my dad came to the Super Bowl," Thompson said about her family's visit to the marquee event. "FOX is family to me, so my own family like sharing in those moments."
