Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated that all activities, both within and outside the country, aimed at fomenting a colour revolution in Cambodia, created insecurity in the society. It is imperative, at all costs, to maintain peace and actively contribute to preventing and swiftly suppressing all crimes.

The premier spoke on April 19, 2024 during an inauguration of buildings and closing 2023 training course of the National Defence University.

Mr Hun Manet underscored, “The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces must stand as a formidable force to protect security and social order under all circumstances, striving to counter all tactics and efforts of hostile forces, both domestic and foreign, attempting to incite a colour revolution in Cambodia and sow insecurity within the society. We must spare no effort to maintain peace and actively participate in preventing and suppressing all crimes promptly.”

On the occasion, the premier underlined that to strengthen national defense, the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces must embody robust energy, full capacity, strong determination, conscience, and good discipline to steadfastly defend national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

He further added that efforts should be concentrated on gradually rectifying imbalances of the ratio between the number of military officers and soldiers.Fresh News
